Black Friday

What is Black Friday you ask? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? It’s an American tradition, an annual shopping extravaganza, that takes place the day after Thanksgiving. It sees retailers slash their prices to kickstart the Christmas shopping season. It’s been going on in the States for yonks but has only really taken hold here in the UK fairly recently. Last year ASDA, owned by U.S. juggernaut WalMart, had people fighting in the aisles. We all remember watching those scenes of people getting trampled on the news.

Should you be fearless enough to brave the queues tomorrow then Godspeed. Personally I’m more in favour of Cyber Monday, the online equivalent of Black Friday. Bag yourself a bargain from the comfort of your sofa!

Here are some of my favourites:

Liz Earle

John Lewis

Happy shopping!
