We have a path that leads through the garden and part way down there’s a concrete standing. It was most likely a footprint for a greenhouse or garage once upon a time. It’s flat and in a good spot so that’s where we have our garden furniture. But there’s no getting away from the fact that the concrete is ugly. We’ll patio over it at some point but in the meantime I’d like to try and pretty it up. It’s edged with brick so at the weekend we dug a little trench and planted a load of Chaenorhinum.
Chaenorhinum is low spreading with green leaves and small, deep purple flowers which flower in summer. It’s an alpine plant so perfect for border edges, rockeries, walls etc. At the moment it looks a little clumsy with big gaps but the idea is that they’ll spread and grow to form a border. *crosses fingers*
